Case of the Week (week 40, 2023)

Screening mammogram in 2020. 

All prior screening mammograms are benign. 

Three foci of growing calcifications were discovered in the upper outer left breast, middle and posterior breasts. 

MammoScreen points and colocalizes on both views the multiple lesions in score 8 and 9, giving an overall assessment of the case of highest suspicion. 

Additional exams were recommended to corroborate the findings (spot compression). 

Biopsy confirmed a ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), grade II.
