Case of the week (week 15, 2021)

69-year-old woman, screening mammogram.

Stable appearance compared to 2018. Ultrasound didn’t show any suspicious images. MammoScreen® pointed to a right axillary lesion consistent with fibro glandular mass but persistent on spot compression view.

Additional MRI was performed and found a contrast-enhancing mass with irregular contours.
The biopsy was in favor of an infiltrating carcinoma.
MammoScreen can help assess lesions that may be mistaken for lymph nodes.
