Case of the week (week 23, 2022)
Could MammoScreen help you detect cancer earlier?
69-year-old patient, screening mammogram.
MammoScreen points to an increased opacity at the union of the outer quadrants of the right breast with a red flag (MammoScreen Score 9).
The lesion was already present on the 2019 exam and a spot compression was made.
An additional ultrasound was performed in 2021 and did not find any suspicious lesions.
Since there is nevertheless a red flag, a breast MRI is requested and finds a suspicious superior-external lesion.
Biopsy results: infiltrating adenocarcinoma associated with intracanal carcinoma..
