Case of the week (week 2, 2021)

A 73-year-old woman had breast screening. Two years before her screening mammogram was considered normal by two readers.

At first glance, the new breast mammography was also considered as normal and unchanged compared to the prior but MammoScreen™ pointed at a lesion on the right breast.

The retrospective analysis of the prior by MammoScreen pointed at the same area.
MRI demonstrated a spiculated mass on the right breast.

At first sight, my colleague didn’t succeed to find the lesion with #ultrasound and tried macrobiopsy twice without any success.

Finally, another colleague succeeded to locate it with ultrasound and made an ultrasound-guided microbiopsy. Invasive breast carcinoma luminal A type.
