Follow-up mammogram after left breast tumorectomy. The radiologist did not detect any suspicious abnormalities on first reading.
MammoScreen informs you of an external right 6 and 5 scored anomaly on the tomosynthesis slices. The rereading of the tomosynthesis guided by MammoScreen allows it to retain a small suspicious mass.
Further examinations revealed a small cancer infiltrating.
Through its detection of the right breast, MammoScreen has identified a potentially malignant lesion. This case illustrates the increased relevance of the radiologist thanks to AI.
To note, the performances on post-surgical breasts have not been established, such that MammoScreen is not regulatory approved for these types of cases.
